Therapeutic Agreement

Each art therapy session typically lasts 50 minutes

Sessions are held once per week on a Tuesday.

Payment is due directly after each session. If you have any questions or need to discuss alternative arrangements, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

Cancellation Policy: I require a 48-hour notice for any cancellations. This allows me time to offer the slot to someone else. In the absence of a 48-hour notice, the missed session is charged at the full £50 rate.

  • If you call and no one is there to answer, may I ask that you please leave a voicemail.

  • If there are two consecutive DNAs, or if there is continued rescheduling or frequent cancellations, your case may be closed.

  • Keeping sessions open without regular attendance prevents others on the waiting list, who may need support, from accessing therapy.

  • This policy helps maintain consistency in the therapeutic process and ensures fair access to support for all clients. Thank you for your understanding and for respecting this policy

Privacy Notice and GDPR Consent

Your personal information and records are stored securely and handled in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This means your data is kept confidential and only used for therapeutic purposes. In line with professional and legal requirements, records will be securely stored for a period of 7 years after your last session, after which they will be safely and confidentially destroyed. Brief session notes may be taken during or after sessions.

You have a right to request access to your personal information held about you. If you wish to see your records, please submit your request in writing. Once received, I will verify your identity and respond within one month.

Limits to Confidentiality

Counselling & Psychotherapy is a confidential space where you can discuss any issues that are causing you distress. Your privacy is very important; however, as a mandated professional, I am required by law to share information without your consent in certain situations, including:

  1. If there is a serious risk to yourself or others

  2. If there is suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult

  3. If required by a court of law.
