What to Expect in an Individual Art Therapy Session
Each session lasts 50 minutes and is shaped by your needs and comfort. This is your space to express yourself in whatever way feels right for you.We begin with a short check-in to see how you’ve been feeling over the past week, followed by a gentle art-based warm-up to help you ease into the creative process. From there, we can focus on anything that’s on your mind, whether it’s a specific issue or just how you’re feeling in the moment.
The main body of the session involves artmaking such as drawing, painting, or collage. How long you create is entirely up to you. The aim isn’t to produce a finished piece of art, but to explore and express thoughts and emotions in a visual and intuitive way.
We’ll then take some time to reflect together on your artwork and anything that came up during the process. The session ends with a brief check-out to help you feel grounded and ready to move back into your day.

Group art therapy is a powerful way to connect with yourself and others in a safe, creative environment.
My group art therapy sessions are available in 1.5 or 2-hour slots and can be booked for 4 to 12 people. These sessions offer a warm, supportive space where creativity and shared experience come together to support emotional wellbeing.
Each session begins with a gentle check-in and a short creative warm-up to help everyone feel grounded and connected. The heart of the session is dedicated to art-making, where you’re free to explore your thoughts and feelings through a variety of materials, with no need for any artistic experience.
Afterwards, there’s time to reflect and, if you feel comfortable, share what you’ve created or experienced. We finish with a group reflection and space for any final thoughts.

These fun, hands-on creative workshops are designed for groups of all ages to explore, express, and enjoy art in a relaxed and supportive setting. Using a wide range of art materials, participants are invited to create freely or follow themed activities focused on mental health and wellbeing.
Each workshop can be tailored to suit your group's needs, whether you’d like something structured around a specific topic (like self-care, resilience, or managing stress), or something more open and free flowing. It’s entirely up to you.
While these workshops aren’t therapy, they offer a great opportunity to explore creativity, learn helpful ways to support your mental wellbeing, and maybe even pick up a new artistic skill or two along the way. No artistic experience needed, just come as you are and enjoy the process!
